DIY Back to School Crafts

My boys don’t head to “school” for another week or so but husband has been back for over a month. The students headed back yesterday so I made some Back-to-School treats for the staff. And since I now have 2 babies to run after I couldn’t do anything nearly as elaborate as last year’s cookies (“Ain’t nobody got time for that!”).

A crafty Mommy I know posted an image of a crayon wreath she made so I knew this would be the perfect present for the principal. I wasn’t sure if she would in her office for it and it may end up in the front office, so I didn’t want to put her name on it. I just added some chalk board vinyl to a rectangle piece of craft wood to make a real “chalkboard” that she could add her own message to. Such a simple project and so cute, now I kind of want one. The art major in me couldn’t resist the urge to put the crayons in color order.

For the teachers I just made some cookies and added a few pieces of candy to these miniature lunch bags I found at Hobby Lobby. I stuck on some custom stickers and they were ready to go!
