Fonts: Albemarle

For Valentine’s Day – here’s something romantic.

A favorite font for wedding-invitations and general fanciness (yes, it’s a real word, I asked my husband).

The entire set can be found on MyFonts.com for $42. There are three styles, if you’re on a budget, I’d suggest the regular and swash versions, as you’ll most likely get the most use out of those.

I used this for our wedding invitations. It’s a nice scripty font that is still legible when scaled down. It also looks very similar to Bickham. You will need to adjust the kerning (space between the letters) as some of the stokes don’t match perfectly (notice on the “A” and “U”).

Font available for FREE here. Be sure to download the swash capitals as well, they can be found here.

Home: Apothecary Jars

For our wedding I ended up collecting a bunch of apothecary jars for our candy buffet. I had planned on selling them after the wedding but have found multiple uses for them. Needless to say I’ve gotten my money’s worth out of them

One is in our kitchen for cookies and snacks. Two sit on our bathroom counter holding headbands and cotton balls – much prettier than a plastic basket and makes everything more accessible.

For Christmas I’m going to add garlands in some and ornaments in others.

While I found mine at TJMaxx, Homegoods and Hobby Lobby, they can be ordered online here and here.
